PORTLAND, Ore., June 10, 2020 — Agilyx Corporation, a leader in chemical recycling of post-use plastics, announced a partnership with Dolco Packaging (a Tekni-Plex business) to pilot a polystyrene collection program in Washington state.

The initiative allows residents to drop off clean expanded polystyrene foam (EPS), extruded polystyrene foam (XPS), and rigid polystyrene at Dolco's Wenatchee facility at no charge. Collected materials will be transported to Regenyx, an advanced recycling facility in Tigard, Oregon—a joint venture between Agilyx and AmSty.

Polystyrene items produced through this advanced recycling technology feature up to 70% lower carbon footprint when compared to virgin plastics. The pilot aims to establish a model for additional collection programs throughout the Pacific Northwest.

CEO Joe Vaillancourt stated: "We are very excited to be working with Dolco to create new circular pathways for post use polystyrene."

Jay Arnold, Dolco's Senior Vice President and General Manager, noted the Wenatchee facility already recycles approximately 4 million pounds annually of post-industrial scrap in its manufacturing process.
